Outfit of the day

Image

(Sorry if this post sounds insane, I spent all day doing photography coursework and I think my brain has melted)

HI EVERYONE LONG TIME NO SEE AHHH

I feel like i’m neglecting you and i’m sorry. So here is a quick little outfit of the day post so you don’t all forget that I exist.

Recently I’ve started dressing in long skirts- which is pretty rare for me- I dont really own many long skirts (and I feel kind of like I look like a mad cat lady, but oh well it’s always fun to be original!)

So, I went to the woods the other day to hang all of my jewellery in a tree (please just don’t ask), and I felt like it would be the perfect opportunity to take some outfit photos.

And i’m sure you all know about my bag by now 😉

Are you all having a great weekend? I look forward to catching up on all of your blog posts really soon ❤

À bientôt!!

Pandora Bracelet

So, the lovely Karen from Style Crumb noticed from my Mulberry video that I have a Pandora bracelet, and suggested that I do a post  about the charms as there dont seem to be many around on wordpress.

I thought it was a PERFECT idea so here we are! 🙂

I’ve had my bracelet for about 2 and a half years now, and over that time i’ve managed to collect quite a number of charms.

I like to rearrange my bracelet every so often because I’m a loser, and I prefer my bracelet to look quite empty so that the charms move around when I move my arm, rather than filling the whole thing completely with charms.

What I would really love would be a couple of gold charms to throw on to give my bracelet more colour, but as they are around £200 each i’m pretty sure that will never happen (and even if I did buy one, it would look odd on its own wouldn’t it?)

That’s all for today heh, do any of you guys have pandora bracelets? (now im in the mood to buy some more charms oh no haha!)

À bientôt!!

(P.S dont forget to check out Karen’s blog, she is really lovely <3)

The jewellery of Husam el Odeh

Today I have been doing some reading of a wonderful book I received for christmas, Fashion Jewellery: Catwalk and Couture by Maia Adams . Its a great book which explores many different jewellery designers and their work, and I definitely recommend that you check it out if you have a chance 🙂

Personally, I have always loved jewellery, sculptural or more conventional pieces- I find it all fascinating. I’m specialising in jewellery design in my sculpture class at college at the moment, and i’m loving every minute of it.

So, whilst flicking through this book, I landed on a page of Husam el Odeh’s work, and it instantly captured my attention.

Odeh, originally from Germany, moved to London to study Fashion Jewellery at Middlesex university. His work focuses around “the re-imagining of everyday objects in relation to the human body”, and I think his pieces are stunning.

He has collaborated with other designers to create jewellery-like chain dresses, shoes, and recently has even started designing sunglasses. And the good news is if any of you wanted to get your hands on his jewellery, some pieces of his recent collections have been pretty affordable, ranging from £100-£800.

These photos are just a few examples of my favourite pieces of his work, but you should definitely take a look at his website, there are some really beautiful things on there. 🙂

Ok that’s it for today!

À bientôt!!
